[RK(200) + Exam]
The purpose of the discipline is to study the basic principles of scientific research and scientific knowledge, its place in the social organization, functions, and features of it in modern conditions and familiarization with the ways of writing basic types of scientific research: scientific report, project, article in a scientific journal, thesis and doctoral dissertation. As a result of the discipline the student is able to determine and formulate a research theme; set a research target, formulate a working hypothesis, and research tasks; develop the structure of an academic paper.
[RK + Exam] (100)
The aim of the discipline is to develop in master's students a systemic understanding of the principles, methods, and tools of reverse logistics and circular supply chains, as well as competencies in sustainable material flow management, recycling, reuse, and waste minimization throughout all stages of a product’s life cycle. Upon completing the discipline, the master's student: understands the principles of the circular economy and their application in logistics and supply chain management; analyzes types and sources of reverse flows (returns, end-of-life products, packaging, waste); designs reverse logistics systems, including routing, warehousing, return processing, and disposal; evaluates the economic and environmental efficiency of implementing circular models in logistics processes; uses digital technologies and tools for tracking reverse flows, including tracking systems, blockchain, and RFID; develops strategies for sustainable resource management, including recycling, remanufacturing, and reprocessing; considers international standards, environmental regulations, and sustainability principles in organizing circular supply chains.
[RK + Exam] (100)
The aim of the course is to develop theoretical knowledge and practical skills in identifying, assessing, analyzing, and managing risks arising in the transportation industry, taking into account the specifics of logistics processes, legal regulations, and modern digital technologies. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: Analyze the sources and types of risks characteristic of various segments of the transportation industry; Assess the likelihood of risk events and their potential impact on the effectiveness and safety of transportation activities; Develop measures to reduce, avoid, transfer, or accept risks; Apply quantitative and qualitative risk analysis methods, including SWOT, FMEA, event tree analysis, and scenario analysis; Use digital tools and software for monitoring and modeling risks in transportation systems; Integrate risk management into strategic planning, logistics, and operational management processes; Consider legal, environmental, and social aspects when developing crisis management solutions.
[RK + Exam] (100)
The objective of this course is to develop a comprehensive understanding among master's students of the principles of sustainable mobility and logistics in urban environments. The course equips students with methods for planning and implementing efficient and environmentally oriented transport and logistics solutions that support the sustainable development of urban areas. Upon completing the course, students will be able to: Analyze current trends and challenges of sustainable development in the field of urban mobility and logistics; Assess the impact of various types of transport and logistics solutions on the environment, economy, and social well-being; Develop concepts and projects for sustainable organization of transport and logistics flows in urban settings; Apply spatial and transport planning methods, including modeling tools and GIS technologies; Navigate international standards, strategies, and policies related to sustainable mobility (including practices from the EU, UN-Habitat, etc.); Implement innovative logistics technologies such as micromobility, last mile delivery, urban logistics hubs, and low-emission zones; Use digital tools to monitor mobility, logistics flows, and sustainability indicators in urban development.
[RK(200) + Exam]

The course covers the following topics: Loading dimensions. Requirements for the placement and securing of cargo on open rolling stock, covered wagons. Placement and securing of containers and demountable bodies on the platform, Development of schemes for placement and securing of goods on open rolling stock.
Защита практики
Pedagogical practice is carried out to form practical skills and methods of teaching.
The main objectives of pedagogical practice are formation of practical didactic and methodical skills, acquisition of skills of independent conducting educational and methodical, scientific and educational work, acquaintance with forms and methods of organization of educational process in higher education institution, study of best practices of pedagogical practice.
Защита практики
Research practice is carried out on the basis of educational and research institutions and other organizations that can be considered as experimental sites for researches in the field of master's training. In practical training the master’s students have the opportunity to perform experimental researches according to their developed program. Research practice ensures improvement and extension of theoretical knowledge, ability to set tasks, analyze received results and make conclusions, development skills of independent scientific research work. Research practice is important for writing Master’s thesis and further scientific work as a candidate for a degree.
A Master’s student can:
- think analytically, structure and edit information;
- apply scientific methods of research and experimental works;
- evaluate research results critically, identify advanced research directions and develop research program
- perform independent researches according to the developed program;
- practise abilities and skills in the arrangement of creative, research and design projects and in the team management;
- perform theoretical or experimental research within the master’s thesis;
- meet regulatory requirements to execution of scientific and technical documents.
